What a start to spring 2018!
Show days in different provinces across the country meant that countless friends and clients have made contact over the past weeks to ensure that their businesses are ready and stocked with Elands product for the spring season!
Elands Spring Open day
Our Elands team were simply blown away by the wonderful and enthusiastic response we had from clients for our 2018 Spring Open day. Whether you were here for the excellent quality product, entertaining guest speaker or just to fill up with Elands Open day burgers, we loved having you.
There was a record turn out with well over 120 people joining us for the day. Clients flew in from Johannesburg, Bloemfontein and the Cape with some even making use of our bus service that travelled along the Garden Route. We had special visits from East London and the Northern Cape and of course clients from Port Elizabeth, St Francis, Uitenhage, Despatch and Jeffreys bay.
Derek Watts was our guest speaker and he proved to be as easy going and entertaining as expected. His address had us in stitches of laughter , if not at him them with him, and it was heart warming to see how many clients in the audience had some sort of connection to him, either as a Zimbabwean or through a past experience. Derek spent gracious time having photos with clients and never shied away from mingling with people over lunch and saying hello...have a look at the not to be missed photos on our website under the Marketing /Events tab .
It was decided to have the guest speakers address in our new distribution centre, this made for a perfect venue, excellent acoustics and much more comfortable seating for everyone. It also gave those attending a sneak peak as to how your orders get processed. Each and every sale is so important to us and we believe that these new facilities will make all the difference to ensure you receive consistent Elands quality.
If you missed out on the Call Kay tour at the Open day, it’s imperative to make time for this next year. Clients sent us wonderful thank you mails commenting on how informative the tour was....please look out for a tour next time you attend Open Day.
Bloem Road show
Our Elands road show was based in Bloemfontein and then Kimberley over the 16th and 17th July this year, thank you to Pretty Gardens and Proplants who so generously gave us space to set up our road show stand.
We were visited by clients from the Free state and Northern Cape areas, thank you for popping past to see our spring stock and for the incredible orders placed... we know that these products will put you ‘apart from the rest’ as the public start gearing their gardens for the spring and summer season.
SANA Spring Show
The South African Nursery Association Spring Show was held in Johannesburg on the 8th August at the SANA head office .Elands is proud to attend this event every year and we were thrilled by the excellent turnout to our stand. Old friends said hello and we were delighted to have a number of new clients place orders.
It was inspiring to see what other nurserymen and related allied trade are up to for the season and we were stimulated with new and exciting ideas and products. SANA is a wonderful platform to network and make contact with clients and we are not only proud SANA members but strongly encourage all our clients to consider SANA membership so that they too can make use of all that this association offers. What’s ahead ...the 2018 Cape Green Forum Show
Elands will once again be at the Cape Green Forum Trade show on the 22nd August, Grandwest Casino Cape Town. So for all those clients based in the Cape who weren’t able to see the stock we have on offer we hope to see you there. Mike and Mathilda will be looking forward to seeing you!
